Hugo Ladoux, Head of Eastvale Weapons Department
At 5:13pm on April 6th, Hugo Ladoux left his place of employment in downtown Acme to go to a pub with fellow coworkers. Ladoux’s coworkers claimed he was the first to leave the pub, and he has not been seen since. Several civilians reported seeing an “eerie purple glow” in the area that night, but this phenomenon has yet to be explained or officially connected to the case.
Ladoux had been employed at Eastvale for 8 years, working with experimental weapons making use of glunite technology. Police suspect he was targeted for his connection to classified Eastvale intelligence.
Clothing remnants matching Ladoux's description have since been discovered washed ashore at the Acme waterfront. It is believed he drowned somewhere in the bay, but his body has not been found.
Samina Wright, Private Investigator
Samina Wright went missing from her office in the month of March. Her assistant, Dorothea Chase, grew worried when Wright did not answer her calls. When she investigated the office, Wright was nowhere to be found. The victim's home was also empty. At the time, Wright was putting together a report on Kepler’s internal affairs. Chase did not know the details, but said her employer was onto "something big," something that could, perhaps, connect a series of missing people. Chase is now in witness protection.
Wright’s office was thoroughly swept by forensics. Officers found signs of forced entry and unusual metallic remnants embedded in the office rug. Researchers later revealed the remnants were made up of a complex series of alloys, but they were unable to trace it to a source or a purpose.
Dominic Maclay, Unemployed
Dominic Maclay was last spotted at Grand Park on February 5th at 9:33pm. He and friend Johan Ossler were out for a late-night walk when Maclay went missing. According to Ossler, he went to the restroom alone, and when he came back out, Maclay was nowhere to be seen. Ossler searched the area for an hour before calling the police. This marks the fifth case of a missing person in Grand Park since last year.
Maclay’s friend reported feeling an “unexplainable dread” before entering the restroom, and had the sensation that someone was watching him. He caught a glimpse of a mysterious figure with white hair, but they retreated into the shadows before he could get a better look. As a result, he was unable to offer further description of the possible suspect.
Maclay was unemployed at the time of his disappearance. Prior, he was employed at Kepler Robotics as a janitor. Ossler suggests Kepler had something to do with his disappearance, since he may have “seen something Kepler did not want him to see.” An anonymous source later released incriminating evidence identifying Ossler as the responsible party; he has since been taken into custody while the police investigate the validity of this evidence. Maclay’s whereabouts are still unknown.
