Heya kid…What’s with all these half-finished artworks you keep sending me? And why do you keep signing all your work with frowny faces? Is the lack of inspiration hitting ya? Have you been staring at those big, blank canvases? This kinda thing happens to some people. Well, not me though! My brain’s an eternal fountain of creative juices! It’s just one genius idea after another!
But don’t feel bad about it, kid. I’ve often heard amateur artists struggle with that little artist’s block problem. And listen, if this is gonna happen to you, you gotta learn how to drag yourself out of your creative slump PRONTO. Whatever you do as my apprentice reflects on ME. I could find another semi-talented apprentice to fill your shoes, but I like you, so you have to get back in the groove.
Listen, all you gotta do is just start painting! Who the heck cares what, just start doing it! Don’t be afraid of your own brilliance. That’s what makes you special! Unique! Different! If you start thinking about it too much, you’ll get nowhere. Just let the creativity flow through ya. No need to analyze it!! And most importantly, STAY AWAY from those useless art textbooks -- they’ll fill your head with junk! Trust me, I’ve never learned anything from reading!
As your trusted mentor, I have a PLAN to help inspire you again. Now, I don’t want to give you all the details, but I saw these things just lying around at my day job and thought, “man, Melody would really love those!” Besides, no one’s using them anyway! I’m going through a lot of trouble to get these things to you, kid, so you better appreciate it!
