Aura is playing Stafangr Hall in the Aesir Shard this Friday! So if you’ve been waiting to see her live, now’s your chance. I made the tough decision to skip my Shard-ology exam and splurge on Aura’s VIP pass instead. If I die from the excitement of meeting her, please remember me. >.<
As I mentioned in my last post, I’ve been following Aura since the Smash-Up, but this is my first time seeing her live (since she’s finally touring outside the Yong Shard). From the breakout song “White Water Lily” that skyrocketed her to fame, to the controversial release of the Aura bobblehead line, I’ve been her fan through it all. I even defended her during the cupcake incident that led Aura to firing her manager and breaking up with the drummer of GoGoGo. Point is, if Aura has no fans, I’m dead.
Now, I know some of you have been up in arms about Aura being in this new band, Tidal Fury. And, I get it. Will I miss her solo performances? Sure. Do I miss her pipa playing? Absolutely (the bass just doesn’t hit as hard). But will I defend Aura until her dying day? 100% yes.
The only thing that actually bothers me about Tidal Fury is that Aura’s gotten all chummy with that other Lancer, Sonar. It’s good for her to finally have friends, but I’m worried about how it might change her music. Will Aura ever go back to the pipa? Have we heard our last breakup song? Why did she let Sonar take lead vocals? Sonar isn’t even a real musician! PLUS, now that Aura is a Lancer, who knows when she’ll release her next album?
Though, I must admit I am curious to see what she does as a Lancer. Thanks to the disco ball accident, we know Aura can possess others from afar and heal them. I wonder if she can just lounge at home then, and heal the Lancers from there. Or maybe she'd be too far. Does that kind of thing even have a range?
Either way, I'm glad we don't have to worry about Aura getting killed. As a Lancer she's immortal, but I still hate the idea of her getting hurt. She already has enough to deal with online. Hey! If any Lancers are reading, you better keep an eye on our girl!
If you’re going to the concert or even just outside, here’s a reminder: BE SAFE. Bring Parasite spray! If that's even a thing. Until we get more information from the Lancer Association, we have to stay prepared. I swear, they barely tell us anything. The only upside of being attacked is that Aura would probably come to my rescue. And it’d also make a good excuse for why I flunked my Shard-ology exam. Hmmm... Maybe being attacked by the Chelae wouldn’t be such a bad thing after all?
