You know, everyone’s heard of famous Lancers like Corona, Ixchel, and Serket. We all know they come from parallel-universe Shards that Acme identified long ago: Aesir, Balamtok, and Kemet. But those are hardly the only ones that exist! An unimaginably vast number of Shards drift through the Shardverse—and a huge portion of them are completely unknown and unexplored! Acme’s expedition teams—or rather, the expedition teams of its major corporations—are still searching for those unknown Shards. And their investigation reports contain plenty of interesting findings:
- More Gektarans! We not only found “The Deeps”—an underground Gektaran city—but also a multitude of Shards inhabited by unique Gektaran subspecies! Unfortunately, these subspecies tend to not be very smart, and they have none of Dex’s intelligence and refinement. It’s said there's even a fire salamander subspecies living deep underground, like some evil, primitive civilization straight out of an old-school sci-fi novel!
- Windwalker’s kin? Although Windwalker says he left his homeland long ago, many “elf”-like species have been discovered—clearly his own kind, or at least related! Unfortunately, these mysterious elves don’t recognize Windwalker (perhaps they'd know him by a different name?), and they seem to be trying to find a new home.
- Orcs! Yes, really! Dex, Hurricane, and Sonar's races were thus far the only friendly non-humans we knew of, but no longer! I don’t yet know the official scientific name for these guys, but they look exactly like the orcs in all your favorite fantasy games and movies. This nomadic race is scattered all over the Shardverse with no fixed home, drifting between Shards.
