We must begin by reiterating: the Kepler Group is now extremely dangerous, and any mission related to them must be approached with extreme caution. We have reason to believe that Kepler has acquired unstable technology far beyond our known scientific reasoning.
Coinciding with the Toy Front Line incident, Kepler's activity patterns changed significantly. Before this point, Kepler was like a newborn in a new world—curious about everything. They invested great care into every project, cared for the people of Acme, and were fully committed to post-disaster reconstruction. The establishment of the Acme Committee was their doing. But Kepler is no longer the company it was after the Smash-Up. Most of their side projects have been defunded in favor of concentrating all their resources on several classified research initiatives related to Shard development and glunite technology. They ignore public appeals and are hostile toward Lancers, as if they alone should control the whole Shardverse—a goal they truly appear to be striving toward.
We recently received help from a surprising insider: Dr. Jeanine Voclain. While we know many of you have had mixed encounters with her, and your mistrust is well placed, she provided us with critical information that will aid all of us moving forward. According to her firsthand knowledge, Kepler is attempting to create an artificial army that will obey them unconditionally...with existing Lancers serving as their enemies. Additionally, Dr. Voclain revealed to us a series of plans targeting Lancers and their glunite-based superpowers. Among other initiatives, the Toy Front Line incident and the Mortal Bastions project were undertaken with the goal of researching Lancer abilities. Unfortunately, even with Dr. Voclain attempting to interfere with these studies from within, they continue to yield harmful results. The doctor's conclusion: Kepler is attempting to find a way to truly kill Lancers. We are entering an era of open hostility toward Lancers.
Even more terrifying is Kepler’s level of technological advancement, which far surpasses that of any other organization we know of. Their strategic moves over the past few years have positioned them at a distinct advantage: through extensive contact with other Shards in the Shardverse, they've obtained a vast database of knowledge about external civilizations that has enabled numerous technological breakthroughs on their end. There are even rumors that Kepler has connections with the "Chelae" — the invaders who once attacked Mariana and created the Parasites. If these two enemies have reached some form of cooperation, it might also explain why the Chelae have not launched a full-scale attack since the Parasite incident. It is also possible that Kepler recovered Chelae corpses and spacecraft for their own studies.
Unfortunately, our team has yet to uncover definitive evidence to fully confirm the above claims, meaning we have no legal method of confronting Kepler. We will continue our investigation until all details are brought to light.
