#Shard Investigation
(An excerpt from an interview with the Lancer "Aura")
You want me to talk about my...hometown? I'm sorry, isn't this a routine behavioral assessment? Is that a requirement for this kind of interview? No...?
Ah. I get it. Alright then.
Let's get straight to the point. My name is Ning Fu, codename "Aura," a Lancer. But you know that already. You want to ask me questions, right? Specific questions, not just small talk about my hometown. If that's what you really want, then you ask, and I'll answer. That’s it. Please don't play dumb or try to hide your goals from me. I'm not just a musician; I'm a warrior now too. I am stronger than you realize, sir, and I would appreciate if you didn't waste my time. I'm going to stay for your questions, and I'm going to ignore that you brought me here under false pretenses. That is the greatest respect I can offer you, and I hope you appreciate it.
-What's the current situation in the Yong Shards?
Sorry; since the Smash-Up I've been here in Acme, not in Yong. From what I've heard, several of Yong's city-states have been torn into Shards, and under the management of the Tianxuan Society, the survivors have been doing well. But you can verify that information yourself. It's true that Acme has discovered Dongtian and Ghost Town, but those aren't exactly perfect representations of the Shard as a whole. If you ever find Xiyang city, you might gain a deeper understanding of Yong—at least better than I can explain.
-Why is Dongtian special?
Dongtian used to be a branch of the Tianxuan Society, renowned for its magic and craftsmanship. Mr. Yan used to visit it frequently for his research. And before you ask, yes: Mr. Yan is Kismet's father. But you clearly already have that recorded in those documents you're carrying.
-Is there a connection between glunite and "magic"?
Well, yes—in Yong, the ability to channel glunite is known as "magic." Ordinary people can use simple magics with special tools, but generally speaking, its use is a privilege reserved for Lancers.
Lancers, of course, aren't quite like they are here in Acme. In Yong, their presence is kept...mysterious, let's say. Some even refer to Lancers as "Xian," a race with a supposedly legendary, extraordinary lineage.
-What is the Tianxuan Society? Why did Yong experience the Smash-Up? Is it related to the relic currently in Kismet's possession?
The Tianxuan Society is the organization that manages and handles matters related to "magic." They also oversee Lancers. Beyond that, I really have nothing more to tell you. Do continue your investigation though; I'd like to know more too.
Now, before we wrap up here... Please remember that I only cooperated today because I didn't sense any malice from you. But next time? I really recommend you not disguise an investigation as a routine review. I strive to help everyone—except self-righteous frauds. Whether you come from Kepler, or Eastvale, or the Lancer Association's intelligence department, please add this to the end of your report: "Aura is not as easy to deal with as she seems. She won't be gentle with everyone." Thank you.
