The Giant Company: Eastvale Holdings
Eastvale Secret File
# Eastvale Secret File 01
To All Lancers,
Following the initiation of the long-term investigation project into the Kepler Group, investigation team has faced various obstacles. Thanks to the Lancer Association for their generous support, and we will strive to gather intelligence to provide the necessary information to all Lancers in a neutral manner. Our goal is not to overthrow any particular force or company, but simply to help everyone live and fight more effectively.
Recently, the investigation team also launched an inquiry into the Eastvale Holdings, and here are already some preliminary findings:
As we all know, the Eastvale Holdings is a large conglomerate that holds a near-monopoly in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and finance. However, within this massive entity, its management appears to be engaged in some form of power struggle behind the scenes. Various signs indicate that the current CEO, Mr. Chang, has deep conflicts with the Eastvale Board of Directors, particularly with the nine executive directors. The relevant clues we have collected include:
- The number of decisions made and implemented by the Eastvale Board has significantly increased. It seems that the board is deliberately vying for management rights
- Before the Smash-Up, CEO Chang Shijie survived an assassination attempt. The weapon used by the assassin was identified as a new type of electromagnetic sniper rifle developed by the Weasel Weapons Laboratory, named "Meteora"—yes, the one you are all very familiar with. This failed assassination still raises many questions. For instance, it is nearly impossible for non-core personnel to know Chang Shijie's whereabouts, yet the assassin had prior knowledge of the target's exact location and hit Chang Shijie's armored vehicle with a single shot. The only thing we know is that some of the upper echelons of Eastvale are instructing Hollowpoint to carry out this bold assassination activity. And Hollowpoint only knew that she was being sent to "eliminate the company's biggest threat.".
- After arriving in Shardverse, the Eastvale Holdings rapidly acquired the manufacturing technology patents for shard cards and established multiple shard card factories. However, upon investigation, one of these factories is located next to a well-known black market in Acme and has tacitly allowed illegal trades about shard cards. Moreover, the factory manager seems to have deep ties with the Eastvale Board of Directors. Recently, due to a glunite leak incident caused by mismanagement of shard cards, this manager has been under investigation by the cabinet team of the CEO. This is also why Lancers go to the "BlackMarket" and "Core" to carry out missions.
Even so, we still cannot ascertain whether there truly exist conflicts within Eastvale's upper management or whether these conflicts will impact Eastvale's future actions. However, based on the suggestion of Hollowpoint, anyone participating in missions released by Eastvale should be cautious of any suspicious aspects of them (such as vague objectives, missing details, unreasonable conditions, etc.) to avoid inadvertently getting involved in the comflicts inside the conglomerate.
